About the VRB
The Valuers Registration Board is a statutory board set up to administer the Valuers Registration Act 1992 and the Valuers Registration Regulations 2003. It controls the registration and discipline of real estate property valuers for the State of Queensland.
Why we exist
The Board is a statutory body set up for the protection of the public by controlling the registration and discipline of real estate property valuers for Queensland.
What we do
The Board administers the Valuers Registration Act 1992 and the Valuers Registration Regulations 2003. It controls the registration and disciplining of real estate property valuers for Queensland.
The Board conducts regular interviews of potential applicants, handles complaints about valuers and carries out disciplinary action where considered necessary.
The Board encourages the maintenance of education standards and supports the Australian Property Institute to ensure that valuers skills are maintained at a high level and valuers meet with Continuing Professional Development requirements under the Act.
Goals
To administer the Valuers Registration Act and Regulations as well as ensure that the standard of valuers is maintained at a high level and disciplinary action is taken when required.
