Vanessa has worked for major corporations including MIM, SANTOS and KPMG providing commercial advice on a diverse range of complex transactions. The culmination of all of her experience inspired her to start her own new business venture and put into practice her own business ideas. Taurus Software Solutions (established in 1992) specialises in contract and project management software and has grown from a business run from home to a business with clients including Telstra and Queensland Department of Main Roads.

Vanessa has other business interests in the tourism and property industry.

Vanessa is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has recently sat on the board of Ergon Energy Pty Ltd.
