Vern DiSalvo

Vern has been continuously employed by the Department of Natural Resources since commencing as a Cadet Land Inspector for the former Department of Lands on the 17 February 1976.

Vern is a registered Valuer in Queensland whose career has included all facets of valuation work including resumption valuations for schools, hospitals and Police Stations.

The later part of his career has included the Senior Valuer position in Brisbane being responsible for a team of valuers and the overview of the statutory valuation role, State Land Asset Management and client valuation work. Vern held the position of Operations Manager Brisbane for a period of 12 months and responsible for all land related activities in Brisbane. From July 1998 until January 2000 Vern was employed as Area Manager and Senior Area Manager, State Valuation Service and having state-wide responsibility for the delivery of valuation services to Government and Local Authorities

Vern is currently the Director of the State Valuation Services, and responsible for the delivery of Valuation services to Queensland Government Agencies, Local Government as well as the provision of high level advice to Government on land valuation related matters throughout Queensland.
